The first meeting of the Springfield Anime & Manga Enthusiasts is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 14 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Central at The Library Center (4653 South Campbell, Springfield, Missouri 65810) in Meeting Room B. The group is open to everyone 18 and over. (Those under 18 should check out the library’s Anime Otaku Club program for grades 6-12.) We welcome all adults interested in anime and manga, whether they’ve never watched an episode or read a chapter or they’ve been enthusiasts for many years. Thanks for posting here! This is great news. :-D Make sure you talk to Chris Meadows about the anime theater at GAME.

I'll try to remember to tell anyone attending the first Springfield Anime & Manga Enthusiasts meeting about the G.A.M.E. event. The timing works out well since SAME won't be meeting in October; the second Monday of October falls on Columbus Day and The Library Center will be closed that day. SAME meetings will resume Monday, Nov. 9. EDIT: How can I get in touch with Chris Meadows?

I would like to provide a set of fliers for your meeting on 9/14, if you'd be okay with that? Can I drop them off at the Library Center before 7PM? I have to be at our weekly planning meetings on Monday nights. These 1/2 page fliers just promote the event. I'll private message you with Chris Meadows contact info. ;-)

I'm not on library staff (just an average citizen wanting to find others interested in anime and manga), so just let them know it's for the Springfield Anime & Manga Enthusiasts Sept. 14 meeting. I'll e-mail my contact at the library to know to be expecting the flyers.
